Always make sure the instructions are followed precisely; do not operate your heater if there are any signs of damage or malfunction.

If damaged, maintenance should be carried out by the manufacturer or qualified person. This is to avoid any permanent damage to your AquaRad.

As with all aquarium electronic equipment, make sure you have a drip loop to prevent the socket or plug from getting wet. As shown in the diagram adjacent (fig 1) the part of the power cable lying below the level of the socket is used to prevent the water entering the socket. Make sure your heater is safely out of the reach of children, unless accompanied by adult supervision, as injury could occur from the heater when turned on. The AquaRad should only be used for its intended purpose.

1.2 AquaRad Installation (without supplied outer casing)

If you would like to use the AquaRad without the supplied outer casing, there are 2 suction cups provided which simply clip onto the heater as shown (fig 3).

2. Working Specification

220v – 240v (fluctuation)
Ambient working temperature: Maximum +45°C

Frequently maintain your heater by wiping away any salt residue, dust or anything else that has built up on the heater.

This will help your AquaRad run at maximum performance.

3. Adjusting the Temperature to Suit Your Aquarium:

Adjust the dial at the top of your AquaRad to the desired temperature.

The LED screen will show you the temperature of the water within your aquarium (fig 4).

Depending on the initial temperature of your aquarium when installing the heater, it could take a while to heat up to the required temperature.

Please see (fig 5) to help you determine the size / quantity of heaters recommended for your aquarium size:

Figure 5 shows approximate values. The room temperature of where your aquarium is situated can affect the amount of heat required to heat your tank to the desired temperature.
