With great difficulty. The most effective remedies are based on copper, which is lethal to invertebrates, even in minute quantities. Experience has shown that alternative remedies designed especially for this situation do not work nearly as well as claimed and the fish are best removed to a separate hospital tank where copper can be used safely.
