As a Recolight Member, we are committed to ensuring lamp and luminaire recycling is as easy, efficient and cost-effective as possible. All our lamps can be recycled simply and at no cost through Recolight – the only specialist WEEE compliance scheme to have a dedicated network of collection points.

Doing our part to minimise the impact iQuatics makes on the environment is key to everything we do, we’ve already taken steps to remove all unnecessary packaging from our entire product range and the packing materials we do use are all either made from recycled products or are fully recyclable. Being a Recolight member and fulfilling our obligations towards to cost of recycling iQuatics products at their end of life is another step in us minimising our impact at a time when we are all far more aware of the challenges the world around us faces.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations are in place to increase the reuse and recycling of waste electricals and to reduce the amount of WEEE going to landfill. The regulations aim is to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, and recycle electricals.

Free recycling for lamps and light fittings

It is our responsibility to finance the end-of-life treatment of our products. We are a Member of the Recolight WEEE Compliance Scheme which manages this on our behalf.

Recolight take on our collection and recycling obligations, giving you access to the UK’s most comprehensive free lamp, LED and luminaire recycling service.

What should you do? 

We joined Recolight to make things simple for you our customers, you have 2 options on what to do with your T5 tubes or your lighting system at its end of life stage.

1 – If you are buying more T5 tubes or a new lighting system you are welcome to return the items to us on a like for like basis, we will then arrange the recycling on your behalf, just contact a member of our team who will be happy to assist with this.

2 – Take your end of life items to a local Recolite approved recycling point, you can find your nearest here – Find Your Local Recolight Recycling Point most local household waste sites are part of the scheme. Ensure your T5’s or light unit are placed in the correct recycling bin & that’s all there is to it, iQuatics has already paid in advance for your product to be recycled.
