My new fish tank smells like vinegar, why?

Date Published - 16th January 2012 - Published by - iQuatics Ltd

The silicone used to make the tank can often smell of vinegar. Even when cured the smell can last quite a while longer. Once you have water in the tank the smell usually disappears and doesn’t affect the livestock.
