Taking on board years of customer feedback iQuatics have developed the series 2 Aqualumi to cater for all expectations.
50% WIDER
iQuatics have increased the overall width of the Series 2 Aqualumi by 50% in comparison to the Series 1 from 27cm to 38cm wide. This has allowed us to add more features including the ability to increase the overall output with a wider spread. This is achieved without increasing the power consumption.
TWIN PLUG SPLITTER CABLE
The custom made iQuatics single power cable is our simple but effective way of giving you total control over your lighting patterns without the unsightly mass of cables. Other pendants on the market have two or even three cables for control of your lighting; this can look unsightly as well as take up valuable space around your aquarium. With the iQuatics Aqualumi Series 2, tubes 1,3,4 and 6 are controlled from 1 power supply and tubes 2 and 5 on the other.
INDIVIDUAL REFLECTORS
iQuatics have incorporated the ever popular individual reflectors to give maximum direction and spread of light towards your aquarium. Unlike many other light pendants the Aqualumi Series 2 features an individual reflector for each tube. This offers unrivalled reflection and spread of light, diverting all of the usually lost light back down into your aquarium where it is needed. Increased output with no extra electricity costs is a must with the ever soaring energy costs.
AVAILABLE IN BLACK OR SILVER
Manufactured from high quality black anodised or silver powder coated aluminium protecting long term against salt water and corrosion. After listening to our customers’ needs we decided to launch the Series 2 in the options of black and silver. We found that people wanted to make a feature out of their aquariums and adding a silver luminaire to a black aquarium wasn’t an option for some.
TANK MOUNTED OR SUSPENDED
You have the optional choice of adjustable tank mounts or suspension cables to position the pendant in just about any location above your aquarium. The Aqualumi Series 2 can be suspended above your tank using the hanging wires provided, or you can use the adjustable tank mounts to position the unit directly onto any aquarium. The tank mounts are adjustable to up to 40mm longer than the pendant.
ACTIVE COOLING
The Series 2 Aqualumi is equipped with a range of features to keep your bulbs and ballasts in the perfect condition including cooling fans (Active Cooling) and an aluminium heat sink (Passive Cooling) to dissipate heat away from your tubes and ballasts, as well as separate compartments for the ballast and bulbs preventing heat transfer from one to the other which is very rarely seen in other pendants. This allows the ballasts and tubes to run at their optimum temperature of 35 degrees.
