What is the smallest volume of water recommended for a marine aquarium?

Date Published - 6th December 2011 - Published by - iQuatics Ltd

If your aquarium is to house fish only, then we recommend at least 20 gallons net excluding live rock/other substrates.  An invertebrate aquarium would need to accommodate more water for greater stability and we would recommend at least 30+ gallons net as a starting point.
